The Shoreline Community College ESL/ABE
Volunteer Program
accepts volunteers
(Volunteer Application Form)
at any time throughout the quarter to work as classroom aides, tutors, or
conversation group facilitators. Volunteers work with students studying English
as a Second Language (ESL) or Adult Basic Education (ABE/GED) and previous
experience or training is not required. Volunteers can help in day or evening
classes or arrange to tutor on campus at any time. A commitment of at least an
hour a week is suggested. The volunteer program also accepts interns or those
who are looking for experience before or during teacher training.
