Volunteering

The Shoreline Community College ESL/ABE Volunteer Program accepts volunteers
(
Volunteer Application Form) at any time throughout the quarter to work as classroom aides, tutors, or conversation group facilitators. Volunteers work with students studying English as a Second Language (ESL) or Adult Basic Education (ABE/GED) and previous experience or training is not required. Volunteers can help in day or evening classes or arrange to tutor on campus at any time. A commitment of at least an hour a week is suggested. The volunteer program also accepts interns or those who are looking for experience before or during teacher training.
