The Shoreline Community College ESL/ABE Volunteer
Program
accepts volunteers at any time throughout the quarter
to work as classroom aides, tutors, or conversation
group facilitators. Volunteers work with students
studying English as a Second Language (ESL) or Adult
Basic Education (ABE/GED) and previous experience or
training is not required. Volunteers can help in day or
evening classes or arrange to tutor on campus at any
time. A commitment of at least an hour a week is
suggested. The volunteer program also accepts interns or
those who are looking for experience before or during
teacher training.
