Prospective Students

Welcome to the Shoreline Community College website.  This path is designed to provide information to those who are thinking of becoming students at SCC.  Once you have applied for admission, you will receive information by email on how to schedule an orientation session and then how to register.  Let's get started!

Do you need information about a certificate, vocational or transfer program? We would be happy to answer any questions  you may have. You can request materials be sent to you or have your questions answered by a member of our faculty involved in your area of interest simply by using the link above.

Programs of Study
There are many programs offered at Shoreline Community College.  Programs are designed to meet the needs of specific groups of students and to bring together those with similar educational goals.

Calendar
You will find the key dates for the academic year on the Academic Calendar.  Pay attention to critical dates for registration, drop and adding classes, and tuition payment.

Costs
Review the Tuition Chart and other applicable fees for attending SCC.  Check our Tuition Payment procedures for your options.

Admissions
There are key steps you will take when you enroll at Shoreline Community College—whether you’re applying for admissions for the first time or registering for classes as a returning student. Most enrollment processes are available online for your convenience.

Assessment
English and math assessment is required for first-time college students and strongly recommended for all other students

Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to eligible students. Applying for financial aid has been made easier through the use of online application processes. There are many steps involved in the process depending on your situation.

Scholarships
Scholarships available through the Shoreline Community College Foundation

Advising
Once you have completed your application, you will be asked to attend a New Student Orientation session to develop your academic plans and register for classes. >Online Orientation Appointment System

Registration
Online registration is available for returning students.  New students are asked to see an advisor prior to registering for class.  If you are a non-degree seeking student or someone who has already received a bachelor's degree, you may be given permission to register online.
