Go see Bowling for Columbine at the Egyptian theater on 805 E. Pine st. Michael Moore directed this "guerilla style" documentary about guns, violence and the fear that plagues American society. (Check for theater location, it could change)

Go see Hell's Belles Nov. 2 at the Pyramid Alehouse (Across the street from Safeco Field) for the 6th annual party to benefit King County Search and Rescue. $12 adv. or $15 DOS. The Hell's Bells are an all-girl ACDC cover band, and the King County Search and Rescue will come and find you if you ever get lost, I think it's worth it!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU WRITE IT!!!

Hi there, I am the Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Ebbtide.

I'm writing this, not only as an introduction, but also as an invitation to you as the reader to submit your works and criticisms.

I will try my best to appeal to your needs as readers of the Ebbtide, but also ask that you make your personal tastes clear to me so that I can better address the music, movies, television, and happenings that interest you most. I will also accept any reviews, pictures, poetry, funny short stories, or anything else that pertains to the A&E column.

I plan to keep my section so that it appeals to a wide variety of people, and in order to do that I need your feedback and submissions.

Send your submissions and feedback to Brian Kerin at a_e_webbtide@yahoo.com
Go see The Vandals, Tsunami Bomb and Audio Karate Nov. 3 at the Graceland. $13 adv. doors at 7, show at 8. I don't know about you but I haven't got my Punk-rock fix in quite a while.

Go see Brad and Happy Chichester Nov.8 at the Chop Suey. $13 adv. $15 DOS. Brad is Stone Gossard's side project away from Pearl Jam. The music is a lot mellower and Gossard, presence isn't especially felt. Yet, the band's sound is original and worth at least checking out, even if it is to fill your Pearl Jam fix.

Go see George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic Nov. 9 at the Northgate Music Theater. $30 adv. at Fastixx or $35 DOS. I have wanted to see a show at the Northgate venue ever since the owners of the Showbox purchased it, I guess the Funk will have to suffice.

Get up, watch no TV, lose your cell phone and go spend a day with nature. If anything take a hike at Discovery Park or walk around Green Lake. It's amazing how much a little alone time can clear your head, enjoy.
