Dental Clinic
 Patient
Information
The Shoreline Community College dental hygiene clinic is
an educational institution where dental hygiene students,
treat patients, under instructor supervision. We select only
patients that meet the students' educational requirements.
State laws allow students to provide exams, x-rays,
cleanings, and minor fillings. We provide these services to
patients from age 4 through senior citizens. We do not
provide extractions, crowns, root canals, bridge work,
dentures or braces.
Overview
Shoreline Community College welcomes you to its Dental
Hygiene Clinic. This clinic is a self-supporting non-profit
facility run by college staff and students. First and second
year students provide quality care with direct supervision
from registered dental hygienists and licensed dentists.
Any adult may be eligible for treatment.
The first appointment for adults will be a screening
examination, which may include x-ray films and a dentist's
examination. If selected for treatment additional
appointments will be scheduled to complete your treatment.
If you have not had your teeth cleaned recently, you should
plan on several appointments that may last 2 to 4 hours
each.
Children age 4 through 17 are also eligible for treatment
and do not go through the screening process. Their exams,
x-rays and cleanings are usually completed in one
appointment.
