Mark is a 1991 graduate of the University of
Washington where he received a degree in Psychology.
He has a long and distinguished career in soccer both
as a player and as a coach.

In 2005, Mark was named the NWAACC North Division
Coach of the Year. He holds a United States Soccer
Federation (USSF) B license. He currently coaches:
-Emerald City FC Girls U-15 Green
-Emerald City FC Girls U-12 White
-Lakeside High School Boys (State 2 years in a row)
-Seattle Sounders Women assistant
-Washington ODP girls '90 assistant

Mark has been a member of 4 National Championship
teams, both indoor and outdoor. He spent 12 years
playing with the Hibernian Saints, winning 8 Mens
Open State Championships, representing Washington at
U.S. National Cup Mens Amateur Region IV Finals 7
times (winning 2), 5 P.C.S.L. (Pacific Coast Soccer
League: Oregon, Washington, British Columbia) titles,
3 P.C.S.L. League Cups, and 4 Kennedy Cups (Northwest
Championship).

In the 2005 season, Mark led the team to the only
undefeated season in Shoreline Athletics history. He
expects to continue that into the 2006 season with an
impressive list of players signing on to join the
squad.

Assistant Coach: Heather Jones

Heather holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF)
C license. She has been coaching with Shoreline for
3 years and Emerald City FC for four years. Currently
she is the Head Coach of the girls U-11 white team.

As a youth player, Heather won three state
championships for ECFC and played State ODP. She
played D1 soccer at Yale, winning 2 championships and
finishing as team captain.

Assistant Coach, Goalkeepers: Mariah Kmitta

Mariah holds a NSCAA Goalkeeper Education Level 1
Certificate and is in her 4th year as an assistant at
Shoreline CC.

Mariah is a graduate of Kennedy High School, where she
was an All-Seamount League selection. She was also
involved with the Olympic Development Program (ODP)
during her years playing youth soccer.

Mariah then moved on to Central Washington University,
where she played goalie while she acquired her
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

The intercollegiate women's soccer season begins with
a turnout in August and concludes in late-November
with the NWAACC championships. The 2006 SCC schedule
will be played against the toughest competition in
Washington, Oregon and Canada, including games against
4 year schools such as CWU, SU, PLU, NWU, and
Evergreen St.
