Skill Standards

These skill standards were developed from input by experts in biotechnology, including a consortium of Biotechnology/Biomedical companies, local-area high schools and colleges and organized labor. There are two clusters of work in the skill standards:

Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Trials
Research, Development and Manufacturing

These skill standards:

Identify the knowledge and abilities that people need to succeed in Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Trials and Research, Development and Manufacturing in the Biotechnology/Biomedical industry.

Provide employees and job seekers information on what they must know and be able to do to obtain employment or a promotion within the Biotechnology/Biomedical industry.

Provide employers information to use for hiring and promotion decisions.

Enable educators to align curricula and training programs with the skills that employers demand.

Provide information for articulating educational standards between educational institutions in the Puget Sound Region.
