BIO provides biotechnology information, advocacy and business support. Their Web site includes information on the issues and initiatives that affect the biotechnology industry. Their Guide to Biotechnology provides a helpful overview of the field of biotechnology.

starAccess Excellence

Access Excellence includes a variety of resources for students and teachers about biotechnology.

starStudent Biotech Expo

The Student Biotech Expo draws together high school students from Seattle-area biology, biotechnology and molecular biology classes and allows them to present their work to each other and to the public. The Expo promotes biotechnology literacy and is an opportunity for students to showcase work that reflects different aspects of this technology. The Student Biotech Expo is hosted by the Washington Biotechnology Foundation (WBF).

starWOIS/The Career Information System

WOIS (Washington Occupation Information System) provides a wealth of information about Washington careers, schools and training programs. Community and Technical Colleges, public libraries, vocational rehabilitation services and career counselors who subscribe to the WOIS system provide free access to WOIS listings.
