Articulation Guidelines
What are the Articulation Guidelines?
High school students and their parents may be interested
in reviewing the Biotechnology Articulation Guidelines. These guidelines
identify the concepts and skills at the high school level that prepare
students to enter a biotechnology course of study at either a community
college or four-year institution. Acquisition of the skills identified
in these guidelines may also lead to entry-level employment opportunities.
Who Developed these Guidelines?
The articulation guidelines were developed by a panel
of expert faculty members which included biotechnology faculty from two
high schools, two community colleges, and one four-year institution.

Guideline Summary
The expert panel developed guidelines in ten biotechnology
articulation areas. We have included the articulation areas, specific
skills associated with each area, and a description of how these skills
would be used in the workplace. See Biotechnology
Articulation Guidelines for more information.
